NJ - Hi-Lo Equipment Mechanic

JOB SUMMARY

The ideal candidate will have experience operating industrial equipment and possess a strong understanding of electrical and HVAC systems. In addition, we are looking for a Mechanic that can work on Hi-Lo trucks and can do plumbing and electrical. The Hi-Lo trucks are industrial trucks, such as forklifts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Operate Hi-lo equipment to move materials within the warehouse.

· Perform heavy lifting as needed to load and unload goods.

· Assist with equipment repair and maintenance tasks.

· Assemble products according to OEM specifications.

· Ensure the safe operation of the Hi-lo and comply with all safety regulations.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

· Prior experience operating and repairing Hi-lo equipment in a warehouse or dealership setting.

· Knowledge of industrial equipment and ability to perform brake repairs.

· Familiarity with electrical systems, HVAC, and OEM assembly procedures.

· Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• The workday is a standard 8 hours and is spent in a warehouse setting.
• Temperatures in the warehouse are variable, with dramatic increases or decreases in response to weather and the products being stored.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED is required.
